I have dirty blonde hair that's kinda redish. I want it to be ash blonde but i'm not sure

My skin is pale pinkish but I have a yellow undertone. I tan pretty well in the summer but I'm afraid the blonde will wash me out. My hair as a kid was almost platinum blonde until i was like 10 then it turned dirty blonde.

Ash shades are COOL, since your hair has red tones in it, you should stick with WARM shades (Gold, Red-Gold).

You should try a wig and see how the color suits you before dying your hair. You can try it on at a store and you won't even have to buy it.

do it at the salon b/c they can use different base colors to make sure it goes with your skin.

You can always just do a home dye kit and see what you think. In the same section of the store, they sell color removal kits as well. If you don't like the color you can remove it within a certain amount of time after you color it.

Ash blonde could wash you out, I'm not sure w/out seeing you. A better bet would be a dark golden blonde allover, with lighter blonde highlights. You will look gorgeous with it--just make sure you go to a good professional to get it done! If you want a 2nd opinion, ask your colorist which would look better, ash blonde or my suggestion. S/he will be able to look at you and help you determine your best look!
