Hair salons will cut it and send it for you, or you can follow these instructions on how to send it to Locks of Love. My brother grew out his hair and he just cut it of and sent it in by following these instructions.

All you do is have your hair tied before you cut it, cut it, put the tail in a ziplock bag, then put the bag in a padded envelope, fill out the info form from Locks of Love, and send it on. You'll receive a thank you card in the mail later.

You can donate to LOL but only 3 percent of donated hair goes to children who have lost hair from cancer. The majority of wigs go to children who have a condition called alopecia areata, which is not cancer and has nothing to do with cancer at all.

The reason kids with cancer do not receive wigs is because their hair loss is temporary. LOL donates only to children with long term or permanent hair loss. LOL is somewhat misleading about admitting any of this, but if you look at their website you can read what they say about who gets the wigs. It's rarely kids with cancer.

most salon's will cut your hair for free if you donate to locks or love. I have done this a couple of times since it is for a good cause.. Just tell the salon you want to donate to locks of love and they will take care of it..
