the herbal essence line of products that work really well for me is totally twisted.....especially the mousse....but they have a gel too.....

I had the same problem as you! I found that the Herbal essence product line has a lot of help full de-frizzers. Go to your grocery store and look for that... i think i use a combo of the de-frizz brand and hello hydration.... i would also recommend looking for products like bed head that you rub in your hair after a shower and it prevents frizz and fly aways. Sorry I'm not exactly sure what the names of all these products are....If that doesn't work for you try talking to your hair stylist.... they should sell shampoos where you go and they could probably set you up with a few good ones.... that is, if you can afford it. I would still suggest straightening your hair though.... i know you don't want to fry it but that would be pretty hard to do.....

~good luck~

Try a smoothing serum like Super Skinny by Paul Mitchell or I like Frizz Ezz by John Frieda(u can get this one at walmart)

I also have long thick straight hair. I use a leave in conditioner(fruitriese) and a gel for straight hair. At the same time after I wash it. then comb, blow dry and go.

After I wash my hair and dry it, it is all frizzy. I have to iron it straight every day. It isn't damaged at all and it lies flat through out the day. If it gets muggy outside, my hair will frizz up again. I know that you can buy some products at the store that are from Panteen that you can use to straighten or shape your hair as well. Try the flat iron first to see if you like it...It's easy and it doesn't burn your hair. This way you don't have to waste your money on products that you may not like and you won't have to load your hair down with them either. It works for me.

Good Luck.
