Alot of peolpe just itch after seeing head lice , allot of the time its just in are minds , just to be on the safe side do your own hair aswell with the lotion and anybody else in the family.

Hate to disagree with the previous answer but you should never use nit lotion on your hair if you don't actually have nits. Best thing i've found is a nit zapper comb which you can buy from your pharmacist. It's about 鎷?0 but you can use it over and over - it gets rid of the eggs and the lice and you can use it on everybody, also no chance of the nits building up an intolerance to this!! Of course you may not have nits - have you changed any of your hair products lately? If so it could be a reaction to this. Best of luck - i know they can be a nightmare.

You will need to comb through your hair thoroughly and use a special conditioner to ensure that any remaining eggs/lice are killed. I have a small daughter who has had nits a couple of times, I've used Boots herbal conditioner specially for nits - it comes in a blue bottle and has a comb with it. It's really easy to use, quite cheap and is very effective. Hope you get rid of your itchy head soon - it's horrible - I caught them too!

I would imagine you have caught nits from them. Yoou should treat yourself and anybody in your house when you treat your kids as a precaution or it will be a vicious circle of them catching it and giving it to you, then you passing it back etc.

If the nits are in an early stage, they are easily overseen. To be on the safe side, I would also treat your hair with lotion, and comb through them with a nit comb. Also comb through your kids' hair at least once, ideally twice a week, for a while, to make sure they are really rid of the nits.

It may very well be in your imagination, though. I know that my head starts itching whenever people talk about nits!

you could have a dry scalp or you could be just imagining it ictches because u r worried about getting them

You probably have head lice, too. One can easily have it from other household members, especially if they share combs, hairbrushes, hairclips, towels, pillows, etc. To verify, try looking for a fine-tooth comb, the one used to remove lice, or you could ask somebody to look into your hair.

Your scalp is probally just dry. Try shampoo and conditioner for dry/damaged hair. =]

could just be a dry scalp- go to ur salon n ask ur stylists opinion or go to ur doctor n ask for some medicated shampoo. if uv changed shampoo r conditioner l8ly or styling products it could be that.

head lies or nits have a reputation of infecting every one in a house hold and it is not uncommon that all the occupant may get infected at the same time, I was advised by the school nurse to use the same treatment on all the occupant of my house, after my return from visiting India, myself, my two children in the house at the same time. which I did , the other way is to sallow your pride asked your husband mother, sister to check it for you, after covering their own heads. In India where this problem is wildly spread women with long hair usually use special combs as routine every day, whenever they combed their hairs. I have seen such fine combs in UK chemist shops, you may buy it form any Indian shops, one thing very use full is to comb your hair while you are in a shower, wash your hair with a fine tooth comb while washing them. also using some mild disinfectant is use full too. it is funny that while answering your question I started to Itch but I do have those combs (being an an Indian) as well as savlon, i will use it later on, it is no big problems.
