I have kind of long hair for a guy. Its about 5 inches in the longest parts. I like it long like it is now, but my girlfriend doesnt. She likes my hair how it was when we met 3 years ago because it was short, and she always wants me to get that haircut again. The problem is I was 15 when we met (Im 18 now) and then my face was still "a kid face". This made me look okay with that haircut. Now I've grown up and my face has changed. Because i look different, I think longer hair looks better. I've gotten haircuts for her countless times just like the one I had when we met and they look horrible. She always says that its just because I got a bad haircut but I know its because my face is different than it was, and now I look better with long hair. She says unless I cut my hair shorter (which I hate and she knows it) she wont talk to me. I always cut my hair for her and I'm sick of it. And she says the way I look matters to her and I think it shouldnt as long as I take care of myself. Here are pictures of me with short and long hair. What do you tihnk I should do?

She "won't talk to you"? OMG...Listen to what you're saying! If you're 18, and I'm assuming she's not far behind (I hope!) then she has a lot of growing up to do, judging from the statement. And this is coming from someone who hasn't liked long hair on guys since the glory days of Van Halen, Poison and Def Leppard! Look, it's this simple...how important is the hair to you, and how important is the hair to her? Maybe you two need to have a little break apart to think about what's really important in a relationship.

I am a long hair freak on guys. I love it. To answer your question, of course I like your hair longer.
You should be able to wear your hair any length you want. Even though I like long, you look nice with both. But it is your decision and if she would threaten not to talk to you if you don't cut it, you have a lot worse problems than the length of your hair. She should love you, short or long hair , and she should respect you enough to know this is your choice.

I think it's just a small matter. It's unworthy for you bothering so long time. Cut you hair and maybe you find you'er cooler than before. Do it and make your girlfriend glad. Even if you don't like the type of your short hair, you can wait a long time and then they will be long again.
