Hair Removal methods have you tried this (girls question)?

All hair removal methods have tricked women with their promises of easy, painless removal - The epilady, scissors, razors, Nair and now...the

wax.

My night began as any other normal weeknight. Come home, fix dinner, play with the kids. I then had the thought that would ring painfully

in my mind for the next few hours: "Maybe I should pull the waxing kit out of the medicine cabinet."

So I headed to the site of my demise: the bathroom. It was one of those "cold wax" kits. No melting a clump of hot wax, you just rub the strips together in your hand, they get warm and you peel them apart and press them to your leg (or wherever else) and you pull the hair right off. No muss, no fuss. How hard can it be? I mean, I'm not a genius, but I am mechanically

inclined enough to figure this out.

I don't know about hair removal but I have to say you write really well. You should think about writing a book or something.

I have always worked in a Salon/Spa with easy access to getting waxed, but never did. I just prefer a good razor and a soak in the tub.

i persoannly have never waxed but i once tried to use VEET on my legs, and i had an allergic reaction and it didn't feel too good. im sure it didn't hurt as much as your problem...ouch. are you still stuck? i hope not. maybe try cold water. (?) don't hate me if it's bad. but yeah, don't use VEET unless you don't have sensitive skin WHAT SO EVER! please

Very amusing story :-)

I have tried a few different forms of hair removal.... unfortunately wax was one of them - and once you have started on somewhere like your eyebrows, or upper lip etc.... you can't stop part way!!! Not good at all....

sorry but that was a bit too long. with waxing if its your first time, NEVER try it at home. always go to a professional. wax is applied in the direction of hair growth, but the strip is pulled in the opposite direction while holding the skin taut with one hand and pulling strip with another.

i tried waxing my upper lip at home once, and got a rash i couldnt leave the house for a week.
