I have long blonde hair to my butt, and so do alot of my freinds, but 3 of them are getting it cut off by the ponytail (boyish lenght) at a party wer're going to saturday and their trying to get me to do it to. Should I? (Don't say 'Just get it cut up to _____ because if you're getting it cut it's a rule you have to get your whole ponytail choped off) It's all going to locks of love and part of me wnats to because i'll be helping kids with cancer but part of me doesn't because I love my hair and would hate to see it go.

If you love your hair and don't want to see it go, then don't cut it! You'll really regret it. I did it once, just because I was bored with my hair. I hated it so much that I cried myself to sleep. It's not worth it to go down that road. If you really want it cut, try just getting 2 or 3 inches off, and then see where you want to go. There's no rule that you have to get your ponytail cut off.

Aw do it! Change is always a good thing, and if your hair is that long, it probably means you've gone awhile without a new hair style. It will probably look super cute, and you won't feel as awkward because your friends are doing it too =]

These kids that receive your hair used to have lovely heads of hair, but because of their illness they have lost their hair. Everytime they look in the mirror, or walk down the street, they feel like they stand out. By donating your hair, you would be able to help a young girl, like yourself.
If I had hair like yours, I would do it. Your hair will grow back soon. Your friends are also getting it done, so it's not like you'll be the only one with short hair. After you get the ponytail cut off, book an appointment at the salon for some trendy layers and highlights!
Also, if you read on their website about donating, you need to donate a minimum of 10 inches in a pony tail...so measure up 10" and get that much cut off, if your hair is down to your butt, then you should still have shoulder length hair. You don't need to remove all your hair and look like a boy.

this is a great oppurtunity for change.. i think you should get it cut, because then you will feel good about helping kids with cancer. you could get a cute pixie cut or a bob or something...but its your call. remember, nobody can make you do anything if you dont want to.

I know how that feels, if you do cut off your hair you'll be doing a great thing and you'll feel good about yourself on the inside, but in my experience, when you cut off your hair, you feel like you're missing something, and you don't feel as sexy, except for the fact that of course, it grows back, so it's not the end of the world either way.

i know exactly how you feel. i have blonde hair to my butt too and i want a short hairstyle because it would be so much easier, but i cant stand to see my hair go, its in a way my security blanket since i started growing it when i was 9, so do what you think is best i decided not to cut mine because i am not me without my hair but i know how tempting it is to donate your hair and get a cute short cut. just think about and try decide which way would make you happier, if you end up making the wrong desicion just know that you can grow it out again or get it cut later lots of love and good luck

ok heres what happened to me i had hair to my butt and i was so nervous to cut it so i know wat ur feeling i loved my hair. BUt the longer you hold onto ur hair the more attached you become to it. Now do w/e you want but my opinion is get it cut you willnot feel left our of your group of friends cause your different and so you can have a change. Remember hair does grow back
