I have 27 years experience with hair but the names you kids come up with???

Help me with the terminology. I know the Emo style and the Flowhawk. But what is Scene hair? Any more I need to know?? Like, is there a name for Tommy Lee's haircut? (My Fave) How about colors? What is a good, long lasting purple? Punky Color or Hot Topic?

I don't know if I am right, but I have been doing a little research myself. I think scene hair and EMO are quite similar, but the scene hair has bow ties and such in it for the girls. But to look at the cuts, they are quite similar. Very very choppy, and always having bangs swept to the side covering one eye.

I do believe the correct terminology for the mohawk is Faux-hawk, as in not quite a full fledge mohawk.

I would consider Tommy Lee's hair more of a punk with patches of color.

Manic Panic has some good colors. Hope this helps, as I am in the same shoes.

P.S. You can Google them to see pictures of the cuts.

Scene is bad. Any labels are bad. People who call themselves scene or label themselves at all are not good people. They have no originality. Punky Color is a hair dye. Hot Topic is a store. It's not really a good comparison.

I think one the names you're talking about is called a "FroHawk" not a "FloHawk". You can only do a "FroHawk" if you have an afro or curly hair should work too. I' think i'll try it soon.

scene hair is hard to describe because its used to describe a bunch of different styles.. including the emo hairstyle

but i guess the main feature of scene hair, is that its dyed.

usually all black, and then one big blonde stripe somewhere in the front

if someone was asking you for scene hair..

youd have to ask them how they want it, because of the fact that scene hair is more than one style.. its a group of styles
