K so i want my hair to grow before school,im considering extensions, HOW much are they?
Hi Baby, I'm a cosmetologist, so you can take this answer with confidence. I am licensed in the state of Minnesota.
Hair extensions are healthy for ALL hair types. Please disregaurd the ignorant responses you got above.
With that said, this comes into play with cost. There are many different TYPES of extensions, and many different APPLICATIONS.
Prices vary, and they vary A LOT. Depending on your location, and stylist. I would give you a range of $35/hr, to $120. Depending on your length of hair, color choices, and type of extension used.
Hint: Try a local beauty school, they may allow you to bring your own hair, and charge a cheap price.

It depends on your race. Different races have different hair types.

i am a hairstylist who actually does extensions and the prices do vary for the many different types. permanent ones are the most expensive and last several months, they can damage your hair, causing breakage and stress to the scalp( loss of hair). sew-ins are less expensive and more practical for growing out hair and for using a short period of time ( a couple of months at the most). the glue to the scalp kind are the least expensive and can be done at home( find the glue, remover and hair at your local beauty supply) these are wefts of hair glued onto the scalp under your hair and only last a few days.
