How could kids ages 13-14 think their so punk and tough? What could be done to prevent that?

I found my son being told to "shut the f*** up or I'll beat you," by another kid in high school and this child was only 13-14 years old (no not in a group of friends way). He was dressed tough with the newest clothes from West 49/Sportschek and had spiky hair to emphasize toughness, but after a spanking this guy was in tears.

How could kids this young oppress other students like that at such an early time?

What could parents do to prevent this to happening to their child?

And what do you think?

Don't you remember when you were 13-14??

It's just a stage they have to go through.

Most kids get slapped around quite a bit at that age. Unavoidable. KungFu classes are a valuable lesson in learning to focus and rely on 'inner strength'. Discipline teaches it. It all begins with Honesty.

It is because they can't distinguish between "there," "their" and "they're."
